Krystyna Zywno

Krystyna Zywno, 65, of Berlin, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Dec. 1st, 2022. She graduated from Pulaski High School and was a retiree of the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Jadwiga Gierlinksi and Czeslaw Zywno. She leaves behind her fiancé Roger Recck Jr. and his sons Joe and Alex, her sisters Stasia Gajewski, Cecelia and Joseph Birritteri, Barbara LaGasse and Chris, and her 'girls' Tiffany and Amber, as well as several nieces and nephews. Krys was a loving, compassionate person that cherished family gatherings. She was accepting of people as they were. She found joy in watching the wildlife eating on her deck and caring for her pets. She loved going to the casino. When she wasn't there, she enjoyed scratching lottery tickets. She liked going to the beach, fishing, dancing, and crocheting. She was an avid coffee lover. Krys will be missed dearly by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held DIRECTLY at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St, New Britain, CT 06053 on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 9:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest following the mass in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
