Anneliese Ziegenhagen

Anneliese Ziegenhagen, age 82, of Plainville, passed away peacefully in April 26, 2021. She was born in Bruck, Germany on June 27, 1938. After surviving WWII, and all its hardships, she immigrated to the United States in 1956 and resided in New Britain. There she met and married Adam Ziegenhagen. The couple later moved to Plainville where they raised their four children. Anneliese was a devoted mother and an excellent cook, especially known for Bavarian cuisine. She had many lifelong friendships but above all, family was at the heart of her life.

Anneliesse was predeceased by her two sons Robert and Jeffrey Ziegenhagen. She leaves behind her son William Ziegenhagen and his wife Deborah, and daughter Rosemarie Pelletier. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Robert and David Ziegenhagen, Jeffery Ziegenhagen, Jenna Litwinko, Matthey Ziegenhagen and Cory Pelletier.

A funeral service with be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 128 Norwich Ave., Colchester.
