BERLIN - Moms driving along the Berlin Turnpike on Sunday received their Mother’s Day appreciation courtesy of an employee of Nadeau Brothers Concrete Construction.

Three concrete pumps were positioned to spell out “Mom.” The message was visible from Deming Road, immediately after turning off of the Berlin Turnpike.

Cory Zapatka was responsible for the display.

“Everyone that drives by seems to love it,” said Zapatka.

This is the second consecutive year that Zapatka has organized this for Mother’s Day.

“Did it last year and the response we got from the public and family and friends was great,” said Zapatka.

After asking permission from his boss, Zapatka positioned the concrete pumps outside the Nadeau Concrete facility, located on Deming Road.

The display was taken down after Mother’s Day, as the machines are needed to lay concrete around the state.
